About The Position

As a Senior Accountant (Remote) at Altitude Roofing, Windows & Remodeling, you will play a key role in managing and strengthening our financial operations. You will oversee core accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and provide insights that support business growth and operational efficiency. This role partners closely with leadership to help guide financial decisions and maintain the strong foundation of a growing, family-driven business.

Requirements

• 4–7+ years in accounting or finance, preferably in construction, home services, or a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems)
• Ability to interpret financial data and provide clear, actionable insights
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced, and growing environment

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP standards
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
• Identify trends, variances, and opportunities to improve profitability and cost efficiency
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Develop and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and scalability
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals
• Partner with operations and leadership teams to support business initiatives
• Provide financial insights to guide strategic decision-making
• Support the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and tools
