About The Position

SourcePro Search has a fantastic, temp to perm opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant with our top ranked global law firm client in the New York office. The successful candidate has a Bachelor degree and at least 3-5 years of Accounting experience in a professional services environment. The successful candidate will have Knowledge of GAAP principles and accrual accounting. Strong knowledge of Word and Excel is required. Knowledge of ChromeRiver (Invoice and Expense), xcelerate, 3E and Elite Enterprise (version 3.11). This role offers a competitive hourly rate and great work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree
• At least 3-5 years of Accounting experience in a professional services environment
• Knowledge of GAAP principles and accrual accounting
• Strong knowledge of Word and Excel
• Knowledge of ChromeRiver (Invoice and Expense), xcelerate, 3E and Elite Enterprise (version 3.11)

Responsibilities

• Working with Accounting Manager, addresses Firm’s short-term treasury requirements
• Prepares daily cash report for members of the Finance Committee
• Assists with preparation of weekly cash flow report for the Executive Director
• Prepares calculations for all partner distributions
• Prepares calculations for monthly payments to the retired partners
• Assists with preparation of quarterly bank compliance requirements
• Prepares and maintains records and calculations pertaining to investments in AEA and One NYP LP plans
• Coordinates preparation of fiscal year-end work papers with Accounting Manager
• Coordinates preparation of tax work papers with Director of Firm Taxation
• Works with the external auditors to ensure smooth review of year-end financial statements
• Performs special projects as required
• Keeps abreast of required applications
