Ford Motor Credit Company ("Ford Credit”), has received regulatory conditional approval to form Ford Credit Bank (the "Bank") to be headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Bank will create innovative and simplified banking solutions to help customers across the country finance the purchase of new Ford vehicles, parts, accessories, and software and earn competitive rates on FDIC-insured savings accounts and certificates of deposit. The Bank will be a direct and wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Credit Company (“Ford Credit”), an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company (“Ford”). The successful candidate will be a member of an exciting and dynamic team of banking professionals who would have the opportunity to stand-up and begin the operations of the de novo Bank. New employees hired by the bank will initially be Ford Credit employees. We are seeking an analytical and passionate professional with demonstrated accounting experience to join our Bank team.
Requirements
- CPA license preferred with bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting or auditing preferably in the banking industry
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis techniques
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with internal controls over financial reporting
- Ability to generate ideas for improvement and implement those ideas independently
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional team members to navigate white-space and implement solutions
Nice To Haves
- Prior Big 4 public accounting experience or equivalent experience with an SEC registrant
- Positive, “can-do” attitude
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with Call Report
Responsibilities
- Perform various aspects of our accounting and financial reporting processes
- Support the delivery of accounting-related tasks and projects
- Research, interpret, and document technical accounting guidance
- Create and implement ideas for automation using data analytic tools
- Serve as accounting subject matter expert on a variety of cross-functional activities
- Support internal corporate audits, external audits, and statutory examinations
- Facilitate compliance with corporate, financial, regulatory, and other policies
- Support and ensure adherence to financial controls
- Collaborate with team members throughout our global organization
