About The Position

We are hiring a Senior Accountant to support Higgsfield’s next phase of growth. This person will own core accounting operations across AP, AR, billing, collections, sales tax, payment reconciliations, payroll entries, and month-end close support, while helping build scalable processes across our US and Kazakhstan entities. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong accounting fundamentals with a hands-on operational mindset. The right candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable bringing structure to fast-moving, ambiguous environments. They enjoy owning high-volume workflows, partnering cross-functionally, and improving systems and controls as the business scales.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth startup, SaaS, or tech environment
  • Strong foundation in core accounting operations and close processes, including AP, AR, billing, reconciliations, payroll entries, and month-end close
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP and disciplined balance sheet reconciliation
  • Experience supporting multiple entities and/or international operations
  • Able to work independently and drive execution in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and strong in follow-through
  • Clear, effective cross-functional communicator
  • Low-ego, hands-on mindset with a willingness to build processes from the ground up

Responsibilities

  • Own global AP operations, including vendor and contractor invoice collection, review, coding, and payment coordination across the US and Kazakhstan
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure timely submission and approval of invoices, expenses, and payment requests
  • Manage enterprise billing processes, including invoice generation and usage-based overage billing
  • Monitor accounts receivable, send weekly aged AR reports, and reconcile incoming customer payments against open invoices
  • Reconcile Stripe and other payment activity to the general ledger and support broader payment operations
  • Ensure reimbursable expenses are properly categorized and aligned with company policy
  • Partner cross-functionally on procurement-related workflows, including intake, documentation, PO or approval tracking, and vendor onboarding coordination
  • Prepare and post journal entries for payroll, cash, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other core accounting areas
  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and subledgers, including cash, AP, AR, deferred revenue, and payment processor balances
  • Support and help drive the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Assist with accounting for infrastructure, compute, and other operating spend, including reconciliations and variance follow-up
  • Support sales tax compliance and filings across relevant states using Stripe, Anrok, or other similar tools
  • Act as a key point of contact for statutory accountants and support reporting requirements for international entities
  • Prepare audit schedules and PBC materials and support external audit requests
  • Help implement, improve, and document scalable accounting processes, controls, and systems
  • Identify workflow gaps, reduce manual work, and improve accuracy and timeliness across accounting operations

  • Base Salary: The anticipated salary range for this role is $125,000 – $150,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.
