Requirements

  • Job requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 5 years of experience in any occupation in accounting or a related field
  • Job requires 5 years of experience in each of the following: Step plan tool – Intercompany transactions- Automation; Quantum – Treasury system.
  • LTC technical accounting process and US GAAP and LTC foot notes for FS.
  • Equity process– Technical accounting process and US GAAP using BPC consolidation system.
  • Debts and Interest technical process under USGAAP.
  • Payroll and income tax.

Responsibilities

  • Records, classifies and summarizes financial transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Use software applications to assemble and format data and/or reports.
  • Compiles, analyzes and reviews financial information in the preparation of reports.
  • Develops, prepares, audits and reviews reports on a regular monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis.
  • Analyzes, reconciles and evaluates the accuracy of general ledger accounting details and ensures the amounts are proper and classified correctly.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with AES policies, internal controls and corporate policies.
  • Identifies problem areas, evaluates their causes and takes action to resolve the problems.
  • Designs and implements improvement to the existing processes PO.
  • Identify and understand SEC reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate both month-end and periodic activities.
  • Identify missing transactions after every Quarter and preparation of late journal entries in the consolidation system and prepare the necessary controls.
  • Perform different controls to assure the correct equity ownership and to be aligned to USGAAP
