About The Position

One Federal Solution (OFS) is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with strong Unanet ERP experience to support our growing government services portfolio. This role operates in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and plays a key role in month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working in Unanet, understands project-based accounting, and can operate independently while supporting the Controller and broader finance team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in a project-based environment
• Hands-on experience using Unanet ERP (required)
• Strong understanding of the full accounting lifecycle and month-end close process
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

• Government contracting or professional services accounting
• Exposure to indirect cost structures, project costing, and billing
• Prior experience supporting audits or compliance reviews

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including accruals, prepaid amortization, and fixed asset activity
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Maintain prepaid expense and fixed asset schedules
• Process customer payments and apply cash receipts in Unanet
• Support monthly and year-end close activities
• Assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and customer billing as needed
• Support audit requests and respond to internal and external financial inquiries
• Gather payroll data and ensure proper posting to projects and indirect cost pools
• Collaborate cross-functionally and support special accounting and finance initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
• Proactively identify data inaccuracies and resolve issues efficiently
