About The Position

Senior Accountant – Dallas, TX (onsite) About Us At Loss Prevention Services (MS), LP (LPS), we help banks and financial institutions protect their portfolios through technology-enabled recovery, repossession, and data solutions. From skip locate and license plate recognition services to transport and recovery operations, we combine expertise with innovation to deliver smarter, faster, and more compliant outcomes for our clients. With operations in Mississippi, Michigan, and now Dallas, Texas, we are scaling rapidly under private equity sponsorship. We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team in our Dallas office (this is an onsite role). The Role As Senior Accountant, you will report to the Controller and manage complex accounting activities, support month-end and year-end close processes and ensure accurate financial reporting. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys digging into the details while also understanding the bigger financial picture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (public or private).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial close.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with month-end close in a fast-paced environment.

  • Onsite presence in Dallas, TX (DFW area) required.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CPA-eligible (strongly preferred).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (Netsuite) (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and accruals.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
  • Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accruacy.
  • Mentor and review work of junior accounting staff, as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business needs.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
