About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Houston, TX. This role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of fund accounts and overseeing the full accounting cycle, including financial reporting, close processes, audits, and tax filings. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, fund accounting experience, and the ability to work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in fund accounting or financial services
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Hands-on experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
  • Experience using QuickBooks as an accounting system (required)
  • Audit and tax-related experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to work on-site in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Fully manage a portfolio of 5–8 fund accounts
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger (GL) accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries using QuickBooks
  • Oversee cash movements, bank reconciliations, and cash monitoring
  • Process and record interest and dividend payments
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Support and coordinate annual audits, including working with external auditors
  • Prepare and assist with tax filings and coordinate with tax authorities
  • Serve as a key accounting contact for external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and tax advisors
  • Review account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with internal controls, process improvements, and ad hoc accounting projects
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies
