About The Position

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple legal entities. This position is responsible for applying U.S. GAAP, supporting the processing and review of financial transactions, preparing analytical schedules, and contributing to the organization’s financial reporting processes. The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Controller.

Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month‑end close processes.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to perform detailed account reconciliations and analytical reviews.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in global or international accounting operations, including awareness of ESG-related regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations, including bank account reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries and perform account reviews and variance analyses as part of the month‑end close.
  • Provide financial support to the Controller, Senior leadership team, and internal departments.
  • Ensure all non‑inventory and non‑cost‑of‑sales journal entries comply with U.S. GAAP.
  • Assist with month‑end, mid‑year, and year‑end close activities, including preparing accruals, schedules, and monthly/ad‑hoc reporting packages.
  • Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • Manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting, including purchases, transfers, disposals, work‑in‑progress, and depreciation.
  • Prepare deferred rent and leasing‑related journal entries and supporting analyses.
  • Reconcile property tax accruals.
  • Calculate and record payroll‑related, commission, and insurance accruals.
  • Prepare and reconcile prepaid expense schedules.
  • Calculate and reconcile customer rebate balances.
  • Prepare tax schedules for external tax advisors as needed.
  • Support system transitions, including migration to new ERP or financial management platforms.
