About The Position

The Accounting Supervisor will Work closely with Finance leadership and hospital departments to support budgeting, audit preparation, vendor payments, and process improvement initiatives. Perform advanced accounting work independently. Perform job duties including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. Prepare accounting analysis and reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Associate degree and equivalent experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including application of GAAP principles
  • Must be in compliance with all immunization requirements as outlined in the Health Care Worker Immunization Policy.
  • Must be proficient in GAAP accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Complex computer skills required –Excel (pivot tables, v-look up, etc.)
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Efficient time management skills.
  • Strong financial analysis skills.
  • Mastery of accounting software.

  • Master’s degree (MBA) (preferred)
  • Informal leadership or mentoring experience (preferred)
  • Healthcare accounting experience (preferred)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (preferred)
