About The Position

The Senior Accountant is an integral part of the PK Finance Team, directly supporting the Corporate Controller, responsible for supporting 4 growing, established companies. This role is suited for an individual seeking opportunity for growth and development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, the Senior Accountant should possess the ability to conduct a wide variety of detailed accounting duties and projects. An ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role should be savvy in Excel, have experience with ERP systems or various Accounting systems, have excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain a team-oriented environment. The Senior Accountant should also possess the ability to review and analyze current processes for potential improvements and meet timelines in completing assignments with deadlines and due dates and have strong integrity and ethics. A self-motivated, driven, reliable individual who can perform the following:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Familiarity with GAAP, Lease Accounting
  • Able to properly register and report with governmental agencies
  • Must possess excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office experience required including proficiency in Excel spreadsheets.

Nice To Haves

  • ERP experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare state sales & use tax returns and have a strong understanding of sales tax regulations.
  • Register with governmental agencies, and file tax reporting and annual reports.
  • Prepare and own general ledger balance sheet activity and reconciliations including bank accounts, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, debt, and intercompany activity.
  • Manage expense management program and policies.
  • Manage and reconcile lease amortization schedules.
  • Prepare and analyze month end entries, including accruals, allocations, and eliminations.
  • Prepare reports and analyses as needed for management in a detailed and timely manner.
  • Provide payroll review and payroll processing back-up support.
  • Assist Corporate Controller and CFO in various accounting projects.
  • Function as a backup for various functions in the Finance Team.
