Tekion employs close to 3,000 people across North America, Asia and Europe. This position is on site 4 days a week in Pleasanton, CA- Thursday remote. Summary: The Senior Accountat will lead key components of the accounting cycle including complex reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting. This role plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, while supporting audits and process improvements across the finance function.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or progress toward certification preferred
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP and internal control principles
  • Strong command of operational accounting.
  • Experience with ERP systems NetSuite is highly preferred (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, SAP) and financial reporting tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with cash accounting, fixed assets, operational accounting and payroll accounting with close management and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and reviews journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for complex balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Leads portions of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial results.
  • Supports preparation of financial statements and variance analysis for management reporting.
  • Assists in the development and enforcement of accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Coordinates with auditors during internal and external audit processes and provides required documentation.
  • Partners cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and other teams to ensure proper accounting treatment and data flow.
