We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to perform accounting tasks in a shared services environment. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate transactions, providing assurance that our accounting practices adhere to financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures, and performing general ledger entries and account reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Hands-on experience in financial accounting & reporting
  • MS suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Strong accounting knowledge, fact-finding skills, and ability to provide solutions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate good judgment, attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
  • Manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines through good organization and prioritization
  • Ability to work closely with personnel from various departments and all levels of management
  • Strong critical reasoning skills, independent judgment, and objectivity

Nice To Haves

  • CPA preferred
  • SAP ERP experience highly desired
  • Working knowledge of inventory and cost account, a plus
  • Hyperion ESSBASE, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations to ensure account balances are accurately stated
  • Support internal and external audit requests
  • Work in a team environment while supporting business units throughout the organization
  • Maintain existing internal controls while looking for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Develop, analyze, and present reports to management
  • Manage projects and ad-hoc requests as assigned
  • Indirectly supervise the work efforts of lower level or junior staff members
