About The Position

Our client, a globally recognized real estate investment and management firm , is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their growing team in Atlanta. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-profile, mixed-use flagship asset with complex reporting requirements and strong visibility across leadership and property management. The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for a large, complex commercial property. This individual will work closely with property management and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, financial analysis, and operational support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of commercial property accounting experience ( non-residential required )
  • Experience with MRI software strongly preferred (Yardi considered with strong CRE background)
  • Strong understanding of: Commercial lease structures CAM/operating expense recoveries Mixed-use / retail property accounting
  • Ability to manage complex reporting with minimal oversight
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements , including: Bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and reclasses
  • Variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Cash flow projections and capital spending tracking
  • Lead month-end close processes for assigned property
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and lease administration
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Support CAM and real estate tax reconciliations (in coordination with internal specialists)
  • Prepare audit workpapers and supporting schedules
  • Analyze lease agreements, tenant activity, and financial impacts
  • Assist with cash management and treasury functions
  • Partner with property management on tenant account reconciliations
  • Support ad hoc reporting and special projects
