About The Position
Record to Report, Finance at Televisa Univision is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team! We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated team player that has the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position will oversee the daily processing of the general ledger, among other responsibilities. ABOUT YOU: You are excited about the media industry and how your finance expertise contributes to the overall business. The successful candidate will display a balance of hard and soft skills, including the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs.
Requirements
- BS/BA in accounting is required.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and regulations
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
Nice To Haves
- Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist in the monthly closing process by preparing and uploading journal entries
- Prepare and maintain monthly recurring entries
- Prepare various general ledger account analyses by reviewing transactions within the general ledger to ensure accurate activity within the account
- Ability to interpret and understand contracts.
- Responsible for the accounting for specialized contractual obligations.
- Assist in preparation of the Quarterly Flux analysis book
- Assist in gathering support for the internal/external audit requests
- Support ad hoc projects/system implementation
