As a Senior Fund Accountant in our Private Equity Outsourcing practice, you will take ownership of key accounting deliverables, guide fund close processes, and serve as a mentor and resource for junior team members. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex accounting issues, driving accuracy, and contributing to an environment of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in private equity fund accounting
  • Strong understanding of private equity fund structures, capital activity, fee calculations, and industry reporting standards.
  • Advanced Excel skills, strong analytical abilities, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead aspects of the close process, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review NAV calculations, management fee and waterfall schedules, financial statements, and supporting workpapers.
  • Review capital activity, including capital call and distribution calculations, ensuring accuracy and consistency across funds.
  • Provide detailed review, coaching, and feedback on work prepared by staff accountants to support their technical development.
  • Coordinate annual audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring timely delivery of audit materials.
  • Oversee and manage quarterly close cycles, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are completed to a high standard.
  • Partner with internal teams to refine processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and support new client onboarding and transitions.
