About The Position

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity of our financial data, specifically focusing on the complex reconciliation of trade logs for accounts. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of monthly reporting of digital asset balances and activity. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of crypto-accounting, exceptional Excel/data skills, and hands-on experience with on-chain analysis to verify transaction settlement and custody.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification is strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in the Digital Asset, FinTech, or Financial Services sectors.
  • Familiarity with blockchain explorers and data tools (e.g., Dune Analytics, Chainalysis, Lukka, or proprietary scanners).
  • Ability to manage and manipulate massive datasets using Advanced Excel, SQL, and/or Python.
  • Experience with institutional-grade accounting software (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP).
  • Comprehensive understanding of Layer 1 and Layer 2 protocols, smart contract interactions, and the mechanics of centralized vs. decentralized exchanges.
  • An uncompromising eye for detail and a "forensic" mindset when investigating data discrepancies.

  • Experience with Alteryx, BigQuery, and other data analytics tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Trade Log Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations between Bullish exchange trade logs and internal sub-ledgers, specifically focusing on BTH activity.
  • On-Chain Verification: Use on-chain analysis tools to verify the settlement of proprietary and customer-facing transactions and reconcile month end wallet balances.
  • Data Reconciliation: Investigate and resolve discrepancies between internal reporting data, custodian statements, and on-chain data. Collaborate with Treasury and Operations teams to confirm the purpose and nature of ongoing transaction activity
  • Financial Reporting: Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations related to digital asset holdings and trading revenue.
  • Audit & Compliance: Maintain audit-ready documentation for SOX compliance and external audits, explaining complex on-chain transaction flows to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Partner with Engineering and Product teams to automate trade log ingestion and enhance internal reconciliation tools.
  • Market Monitoring: Stay current on evolving accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) specifically related to digital asset valuation and impairment.
