About The Position

This role is responsible for driving the sale of large, complex, bundled energy and infrastructure solutions with guaranteed financial and operational outcomes. The focus is on developing strong executive-level relationships and providing strategic solutions that address customer business objectives, operational needs, and sustainability goals. The position targets key vertical markets including K-12 education, local and municipal government, utilities, and community colleges across middle and western Tennessee, Arkansas, and northern Mississippi. Candidates may reside anywhere within the assigned territory, with preference for those located in or near Memphis, TN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 5-7+ years of progressive B2B sales experience targeting C-suite or economic decision-makers.
  • Proven track record closing complex, consultative, solution-based sales involving financial guarantees or long sales cycles.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within a matrix team structure.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within territory.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales of sustainable infrastructure, performance contracting, and related service offerings to executive-level stakeholders with minimal supervision.
  • Sell, renew, and expand multi-year service agreements and position offerings such as Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) and design-build solutions.
  • Engage C-suite decision makers, build trusted partnerships, and demonstrate strong business and financial value propositions aligned to customer priorities.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans, leveraging structured sales methodologies and tools to manage pipeline, account intelligence, and sales progress.
  • Prospect, qualify, and develop new customer relationships while expanding value and solution breadth within existing accounts.
  • Effectively communicate and present proposals, negotiate terms, address objections, and secure complex contractual agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal support teams including engineering, financial modeling, legal, and project development to maximize value and support pursuit strategy.
  • Act as the primary customer advocate throughout the sales cycle and during post-sale transitions to ensure successful outcomes and high satisfaction.
  • Participate in market-specific events, conferences, professional associations, and vertical trade shows to expand brand presence and build market awareness.
  • Use AI-driven business insights and technology tools to enhance research, positioning, and sales strategy.
