About The Position

This is an opportunity to help expand and or build something new. Tengo Internet is looking for a disciplined, driven business development professional to help open a new vertical and create net-new pipeline. This role involves hunting, developing relationships, and expanding the company into new relationships in current or new markets. It is suited for someone energized by prospecting, creating opportunity, and building from the ground up. Tengo Internet helps campgrounds, RV resorts, marinas, and outdoor hospitality properties deliver reliable outdoor Wi-Fi to their communities, partnering with property owners and operators to design and deploy networks. The company is a values-based team prioritizing humility, service, growth, and integrity. This is a true outbound new-business role focused on helping Tengo expand into new relationships in existing or adjacent markets. The role will work from a defined list of target accounts, management groups, ownership groups, or strategic prospects to test and build new-market growth while protecting the current customer base and internal pipeline. The ideal candidate can create opportunities, open conversations, qualify real potential, and help shape a repeatable go-to-market motion in a new segment.

Requirements

  • Experience in business development, SDR, BDR, outside sales, or new-market sales
  • Experience opening new territories, segments, or verticals
  • Comfortable initiating contact and building relationships from scratch
  • Persistent, disciplined, and resilient
  • Strong communication skills and professional follow-through
  • Organized and accountable
  • Self-directed, coachable, and motivated by building

  • Availability for 10-15% travel

  • Experience selling into hospitality, telecom, property, infrastructure, or related industries

Responsibilities

  • Prospect into a defined list of target accounts, management groups, and ownership groups
  • Help open a new vertical or adjacent market for Tengo Internet
  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, and follow-up to generate qualified conversations
  • Attend trade shows/conferences to develop new relationships and expand existing ones
  • Build relationships with decision-makers and uncover real opportunities
  • Qualify prospects using a structured consultative process
  • Build and manage an early-stage pipeline in CRM
  • Work with leadership to refine messaging, approach, and market strategy
  • Participate in coaching and execute with discipline and persistence

Benefits

  • Remote flexibility with a Texas-based team
  • Base salary plus commission
  • Total Target Compensation (TTC) of $150,000 to $300,000+ based on performance and commissions
  • Base salary of $65,000 to $85,000
  • Aggressive commission plan designed to help the right person reach (and exceed) target earnings
