About The Position

As a Senior Account Executive on the OpenText Cybersecurity Data Security Mid-Market Sales Team, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth by acquiring new customers and expanding existing relationships. You’ll own a portfolio of named accounts while managing the full sales cycle for mid-market prospects. This role is ideal for a motivated, tech-curious sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow their career within OpenText’s sales organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of successful sales experience and a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Ability to quickly learn and effectively sell complex technical and cybersecurity solutions.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills across multiple channels.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, commission-driven sales environment.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to identify customer needs and articulate value-based solutions.
  • A driven, collaborative mindset with a desire to learn, grow, and advance within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a set of named mid-market accounts, driving new business, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Build and develop a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and opportunity management.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, including discovery, solution positioning, demos, proposals, and closing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product to advance deals.
  • Conduct sales engagements via phone, email, video conferencing, and web-based presentations.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting, and CRM documentation.
  • Build trusted, long-term customer relationships to drive retention and continued account growth.
