Job Summary: Pets Best is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented individual to join our team as a Sr Account Executive to own and growth relationships with our key distribution partners (e.g., brokers, affinity groups, retailers, veterinary networks, financial services partners). Your primary mission is to accelerate new pet insurance policy sales through partners by orchestrating joint sales and integrated marketing programs, optimizing partner performance, and ensuring our distribution efforts resonate across partner channels. Job Location: Remote, Approximately 15% travel for partner meetings, conferences, onsite business reviews and internal meetings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in account management, channel partnerships, business development or growth-related roles, ideally in insurance, fintech, health or e-commerce
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue through distribution partners and managing executive-level relationships.
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing (funnel metrics, attribution, A/B testing, demand gen) and digital insurance distribution (APIs, quote-to-bind flows, affiliate tracking, lead gen platforms).
  • Strong analytical skills; proficiency with dashboards and analytical tools (e.g., Excel/Sheets, Salesforce, Tableau) and comfort with funnel math.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; able to lead structured QBRs/MBRs with clear insights and actions.
  • Bias for action, ownership mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Willingness to travel ~15% for partner meetings, conferences, and business reviews.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in P&C insurance, pet insurance, or regulated distribution environments.
  • Familiarity with aggregators, insurtech platforms, and API-led partnerships.
  • Knowledge of marketing attribution and conversion rate optimization tactics.

Responsibilities

  • Partner Growth & Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of high-value distribution partners; build trusted, executive-level relationships.
  • Manage the cross-functional development and execution of joint go-to-market plans (campaign calendars, promotional strategies, landing pages, email flows, social content, paid media) to drive new policy sales.
  • Negotiate and refine partner deal terms to maximize ROI and sales growth opportunities.
  • Performance Management and Analytics Conduct regular internal and external business reviews (monthly performance calls; quarterly/semi-annual QBRs) with clear insights, actions, and owners.
  • Establish and track performance KPIs across the funnel (traffic, lead conversion rate, quote-to-bind rate, CAC, LTV, policy persistency, upsell/cross-sell).
  • Diagnose performance issues; test and iterate on creative, offer, pricing presentation, UX/checkout flows, and audience targeting.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams to remove roadblocks and deploy scalable solutions.
  • Translate partner opportunities feedback into actionable business cases for growth initiatives including product and process improvements; champion the partner perspective in roadmap discussions.
  • Create and maintain partner playbooks, enablement materials and reporting cadences
  • Forecasting, Planning & Other Own partner-level forecasts, pipeline health, and performance targets; deliver accurate monthly/quarterly updates.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new partnership opportunities and expansion paths.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
