About The Position
Self-Direction DSP - Syracuse Area (Job #SSM-RB) ARISE/EFR is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in Syracuse with a young man with autism. He and his family are looking for a dedicated DSP to provide support and assist him with working on goals at home. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting him to gain independent living skills and supporting him to pursue his hobbies and interests. You may be asked to provide transportation, as needed. We are looking for individuals who are dependable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavior concerns a plus. Reliable transportation, valid NYS driver's license and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Hours: Approx 24 hours per week Looking for three weekdays (can be flexible)/9:00am-5:00pm Pay rate: $24.00 per hour ARISE/EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
