About The Position
ARISE is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Tully, NY area with an active, nonverbal, autistic young male. The individual is looking for a dedicated staff to assist him with better communication (he does use a tablet to assist with communicating), exploring his interests and working on his independent living skills all within his home. His interests include using his inground pool, trampoline, hot tub, watching TV, helping with chores. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience a plus. Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Hiring for shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (getting him off the school bus) 3pm to 6/7pm Flexible for other days and/or times during school breaks are a huge plus!
