As Quality and Lean Leader, you will own and drive an integrated operational excellence strategy across the Nuclear Segment's full value stream. Reporting to the SPS Business Operations Leader and the Nuclear Segment General Manager, this role is pivotal in delivering safe, reliable, and consistently high-quality solutions that meet customer and regulatory expectations. You will embed Safety, Quality, and Lean principles deep into all operations, leading a high-performing team of Quality & Lean professionals. This is a senior leadership role with broad influence — spanning segment leadership, Value Stream transformation, suppliers, and customers. You will be the driving force behind continuous improvement across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC), delivering measurable value to customers and shareholders alike. Where you’ll be an active contributor to these accountabilities: • Operational Excellence – Lead end-to-end quality and lean transformation across the Nuclear Segment, ensuring best-in-class efficiency, compliance, and profitability • Customer & Regulatory Assurance – Ensure all customer requirements are consistently embedded and delivered, reducing cost of poor quality and elevating the customer experience • Cross-Functional Leadership – Partner across EHS, Nuclear teams, Steam Power Services, Gas Power, and supplier networks to align strategy and accelerate Value Stream performance Job Description Success in this role looks like: Building deep expertise in GE Vernova's Quality and Lean tools to deliver measurable improvements in business performance and team culture Driving sustainable operational gains through Built-in-Quality principles, Value Stream transformation, and structured problem-solving Developing a high-performing Quality & Lean team that meets the evolving needs of both the Nuclear Segment and SPS Value Stream Playing an active and visible role in shaping SPS's broader operational excellence journey Who You Are: A principled leader who leads with clarity, consistency, and integrity — embodying GE Vernova's Leadership Behaviors A seasoned Quality & Lean professional with deep expertise in quality management, Kaizen, problem-solving, value stream optimization, and daily management You are able to travel regionally on a regular basis and globally on a periodic basis. What You'll Do: Nuclear Quality Leadership – Own the full Quality agenda for the Nuclear Segment, ensuring compliance, operational rigor, and customer responsiveness across all projects, services, and outages Performance Management – Orchestrate operating rhythms around key performance indicators as well as target to improve indicators, driving trend analysis, lean action plan progress, and structured problem-solving to eliminate defects and prevent recurrence Customer Representation – Serve as the face of Quality to customers, resolving issues swiftly, applying preventive actions, and building lasting trust through consistent responsiveness Operational Excellence – Apply Built-in-Quality, Lean, and Value Stream methodologies to drive SQDC improvements, standardize processes, and deliver measurable first-pass yield gains Problem Solving & Corrective Action – Own and drive PSRs, 8Ds, 5-Whys, and systemic corrective action programs to deliver both immediate fixes and long-term strategic improvements Lean Culture & Capability Building – Coach and embed Leader Standard Work, Daily Management, and Kaizen practices across the Value Stream and Nuclear operations to drive sustainable productivity Change Leadership – Lead cross-functional teams to simplify end-to-end processes, drive change using the Change Acceleration Process, and communicate progress through KPIs and MORs QMS & Audit Governance – Partner cross-functionally to develop, deploy, and continuously improve the Quality Management System, including internal and external audit execution Strategic Leadership & Learning – Shape segment strategy as a key member of SPS Business Operations and Nuclear leadership teams, while fostering a learning organization through best practice sharing and structured communication plans

Requirements

  • Education – Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
  • Industry Experience – Significant leadership experience in Operations and/or Quality within the power generation or regulated industrial environment
  • Lean & Continuous Improvement – Certified Lean Practitioner or Six Sigma Black Belt, with hands-on expertise in Kaizen facilitation, Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management, Hoshin Kanri, and A3 methodologies
  • Problem Solving – Advanced proficiency in structured problem-solving techniques including 8D, 5-Why, and Root Cause Analysis, with a track record of resolving chronic issues and preventing recurrence
  • Transformation Leadership – Proven ability to lead large-scale operational transformation programs across multiple workstreams, from initiation through sustained deployment, with clear accountability for timelines and measurable outcomes
  • Quality & Compliance – Strong knowledge of QMS frameworks, nuclear standards, technical regulations, and compliance requirements, with demonstrated ability to drive SQDC improvements
  • Team & Accountability – Proven leader of Quality, Lean, and Operations teams, with strong accountability, resource planning capability, and experience managing multi-year Continuous Improvement Roadmaps
  • Communication & Influence – Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage and influence across all levels of the organization
  • Mobility – Willing and able to travel regularly, both regionally and globally
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA or Canada without sponsorship now or in the future
