The Seeds of Hope Curriculum Coordinator role is designed to develop and maintain an adapted Bible-based curriculum for our Special Needs Ministry. This role creates engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons at three levels—Kids, Students, and Adults—ensuring every participant can grow in faith, understanding, and community. Curriculum Development Write and adapt a Bible-based curriculum for three distinct levels: Kids (elementary age) Students (middle/high school) Adults Ensure lessons are developmentally appropriate and adaptable for a variety of cognitive, communication, sensory, and behavioral needs. Write lesson plans for typical weekend services, along with Good Friday, Easter, Christmas Eve, and VBS. Create clear teaching guides for volunteers, including: Objectives Simplified Bible truths Visual supports Hands-on & sensory-friendly activities Discussion prompts (Student & Adult levels) Adaptation & Accessibility Modify curriculum to support diverse learning styles (visual, auditory, tactile, kinesthetic). Incorporate repetition and simplified language. Provide alternative engagement strategies for non-verbal participants or those with higher support needs. Collaboration Partner with the Seeds of Hope team to ensure the curriculum aligns with ministry vision and theological values. Gather feedback from Campus Teams to refine and improve materials. Support volunteer training related to curriculum implementation when needed. Organization & Planning Develop curriculum plans aligned with the Hope Kids formatting. Maintain organized digital files of lessons and resources. Maintain organized curriculum materials in storage. Update and refresh content as needed.
