About The Position

SUMMARY: The Seed Building Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations within the seed facility, ensuring efficient processing, quality control, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
Ability to work long varied hours/days as business dictates.
Must obtain or currently hold a Class A CDL with medical card and Hazmat endorsement
Must obtain or currently hold Commercial Applicators License with necessary categories.

Nice To Haves

Agriculture background preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Work with team to lead operations team members on a day-to-day basis.
Oversee seed receiving, conditioning, treating, and packaging seeds.
Maintain facility equipment (tender equipment, boxes, seed bulk systems, conveyors, meters, etc.) in excellent operating condition while controlling maintenance and repair expenses.
Ensure that the agronomy facilities and equipment are maintained in excellent condition.
Strong leadership, communication, computer, and organizational skills.
Lead, train, and supervise a team of employees to ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity.
Strong ability to efficiently operate computer automated systems.
Be polite and courteous when working with fellow employees and customers.
Provide excellent customer service.
Adhere to all company and government safety policies and laws (i.e., viewing safety films, understanding right to know laws, fire, and explosion precautions, lock out - tag out, etc.)
Accurately record and keep records of equipment and facility maintenance.
Help facilitate the movement of products through the agronomy branches.
Prepared to assist at other locations as designated and when approved by manager.
Work with location Office Manager to ensure accurate accounting of expenses.
Ability to think critically to solve problems.
Required to have a strong work ethic, dedication, and take pride in one’s work.
Adhere to all company procedures as designated for above tasks.
Help manage Inventory.
All other duties assigned.
