About The Position

Under the direction of the Mgr Security Technology, this role is responsible for the management and implementation of the Security & Parking technology hardware, software, and standards that help facilitate a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of professional work experience required.
  • Omnicast Administrator Certification issued by Genetic or Synergis Administrator Certification issued by Genetic required within 1 year of hire.
  • Proficient in exporting reports from Genetec's Synergis and Omnicast.
  • Process oriented, results driven individual.
  • Proficient in using Excel to mine data from system reports and provide high level overview.
  • Ability to keep accurate records and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and stressful environment.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the assessment, deployment, and operation of high-level security program across multiple facilities through the management of physical security & parking technologies including, but not limited to cameras, duress alarms, access control hardware, intrusion systems, software systems, and more.
  • Manage best in class security technologies to include the Genetec Security Center and associated integrations and standalone software programs.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in evaluation of new technologies for implementation across the OU Health organization and locations.
  • Support the maintenance of high functioning operational programs, policies, files, access groups, and management of sensitive electronic data in accordance with NRC 10 CFR 37 and other regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Lead collaboration with key stakeholders and cross functional departments in the hospital and ambulatory environments to determine appropriate access levels to ensure organizational success and efficient operations while providing a secure working environment.
  • Support a badging team and associated operations to support operational efficiencies and facility security through access control.
  • Support process improvement efforts via compiling and analyzing information related to security technologies, on-site risk and security assessments, and review of incident reports.
  • Manage databases and perform programming functions related to card access equipment and card holder groups.
  • Assess and make recommendations for modifications to new installations of security, access control, and video equipment.
  • Serve as the point of contact for the organization's security integrator to ensure alignment and compliance with OU Health security standards.
  • Support the project manager for new installations of security technology and hardware.
  • Operate security video systems and equipment.
  • Monitor security video and acquire security video data that has been previously archived.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
