Accurately record vital signs Exercise judgment in patient interactions and report changes to the RN Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates Answer alarms and investigate disturbances. Ensure intervention is based on the patient's plan of care. Employ appropriate crisis intervention techniques as needed. Check patients for contraband and manage the patient's valuables and belongings.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Degree or equivalent preferred; or Certified Nursing or NAR preferred; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy, psychology, human services, or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred.
  • Licensure: Agency Affiliated Counselor registration in the state of Washington, preferred.
  • Experience: One year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
  • Additional Skill Requirements: Successful completion CPR certification and crisis intervention training within 10 days of employment prior to assisting with restraining procedures. May be required to work flexible hours. Successful completion of Agency Affiliated Counselor certification within 60 days.
