As an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced tech and communications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to requests for assistance, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help identify suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Control access at building and/or gate entry points by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and documenting deliveries and contractor activity per site procedures.
• Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift handoffs, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and client contacts.
