About The Position

The Security Supervisor is responsible for implementing practices that promote a safe and friendly environment for the team members, guests, and vendors, while protecting company funds and physical property.

Requirements

  • Proficient in the daily use of computer programs and software used to perform administrative functions of the department.
  • Ability to quickly learn various software systems necessary to perform the functions of the role.
  • Must be able to maintain the appropriate Gaming License.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of leadership or 1 year of casino industry experience.
  • Associates degree in related field.
  • Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Security Manager to implement and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Coaches and guides Team Members to meet department goals and maintain a high level of guest service and internal service standards. Motivates Team Members for continuous improvement though regular communication.
  • Effectively assists in scheduling team to meet business demands and manage labor costs.
  • Interviews, selects, and trains new Security Team Members.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the company’s facilities, as well as special events on property.
  • Interacts with guests and team members in a positive, professional manner.
  • Ensures a maximum level of customer service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.
  • Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers. Resolves Guest complaints in a timely and positive manner.
  • Administers and maintains accountability for department training programs.
  • Responsible for maintaining a strong knowledge of all department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and be able to apply them to daily operations. Responsible for keeping up to date on all SOP changes and communicating suggestions or updates as needed.
  • Writes and issues accurate and timely performance management documentation including both corrective and positive feedback for all members of the Security team. Ensures timely administration of Team Member evaluations.
  • Creates and is responsible for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Steps in as a working Supervisor whenever staffing levels or business demands require.
  • Must be able to work the required work schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Works physically onsite to manage business and interact personally with Team Members, vendors and guests.
  • Accepts identification as necessary to ensure compliance with state and federal gaming regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Ensures all safety standards are met and possible safety hazards are quickly resolved.
