About The Position

Central State Hospital is seeking a full-time Security Sergeant. This position will primarily work day shift Provides supervision and guidance to assigned staff; including scheduling daily assignments and duties. Provides written reports and staff training. Conducts performance appraisals of assigned employees. Provides internal and external security and transportation for patients and staff. Responds and assists with patient physical management and all hospital emergencies. Evaluates, completes and approves timesheets of assigned staff. Other duties as assigned. (The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. Incumbents may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.) Requirements

  • Required High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must have at least one year of experience in law enforcement or security.

  • 1-2 years experience in a supervisory position preferred.
