As a Security Professional - Front Desk Operations in Burbank, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and tenants. Your primary responsibilities will include managing access control, monitoring alarm panels, and providing outstanding customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems to assist with your duties and help to deter security-related incidents through your professional presence and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including communicating with building management and emergency personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to company and client guidelines.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff with additional security-related tasks as needed for the commercial real estate environment.
