Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
An active Armed Guard Card or license is required as mandated by state and/or local regulations.
A high school diploma or recognized equivalent such as a GED is required as proof for the client.
At least six months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, assisting with appropriate actions in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter potential security-related issues within the healthcare environment.
Document and report any observed irregularities, incidents, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel.
Support the healthcare location by assisting staff, patients, and visitors with directions, information, and security-related concerns.
Participate in security-related drills, training, and/or emergency preparedness activities as required by the healthcare location and Allied Universal.
Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while representing Allied Universal at all times.
