About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a reassuring presence for staff, patients, and visitors. This role requires both armed responsibilities and driving duties. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within a healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and visitors to provide assistance and directions as needed.
  • Adhere to all armed security-related protocols, including proper handling and maintenance of assigned equipment.
  • Remain alert to any changes in the environment and communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as required.
