About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a reassuring presence for staff, patients, and visitors. This role requires both armed responsibilities and driving duties. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within a healthcare environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
Maintain accurate records and reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and visitors to provide assistance and directions as needed.
Adhere to all armed security-related protocols, including proper handling and maintenance of assigned equipment.
Remain alert to any changes in the environment and communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as required.
