Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol in Clermont, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • It is preferred that candidates are able to lift more than 20 lbs.
  • It is preferred that candidates possess a state, county, or city issued security license.
  • It is preferred that candidates are comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • It is preferred that candidates have customer service experience.
  • It is preferred that candidates have alarm panel experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations at the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual occurrences according to established procedures.
  • Assist with access control and enforce policies to help to deter prohibited items and/or activities within the healthcare location.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings while performing all assigned duties.
