About The Position
As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Driver Government in Virginia Beach, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas while carrying a firearm, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding as needed. This role also involves driving responsibilities, requiring you to operate vehicles as part of your patrol duties. You will remain visible to help create a secure environment, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with all individuals on site. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Armed Guard Card or License is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while remaining prepared for emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
- Monitor access control points and verify credentials to help to maintain the integrity of the location.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
