As a Security Professional - Armed Government Driving Role in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing outstanding customer service. This is an armed and driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and interact professionally with the public. Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Applicants must provide one of the following: DD214 with Honorable Discharge, or an Associate's Degree or 60 college credits, or a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious activity, reporting findings according to site protocols.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and contractors while upholding site rules and regulations.
  • Document security-related incidents, observations, and activities in daily reports.
  • Assist law enforcement and emergency personnel when required, following established protocols.
