Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail center environment.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and support closing and opening routines as assigned for the location.
  • Assist with traffic flow, crowd management, and customer assistance during peak business hours, special events, and/or emergency situations.
