Job Description As a Security Officer - Utilities Command Center in Carmel, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, support security-related operations, and maintain clear communication to help to deter incidents. Your presence and teamwork will contribute to a secure environment while delivering exceptional customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

  • Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing communications at the dispatch post, maintaining accurate records of all calls and activity.
  • Coordinate responses to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site-specific protocols.
  • Dispatch security-related personnel to designated locations within the utilities facility as needed.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Assist in maintaining situational awareness of the utilities location by monitoring surveillance systems and/or alarm panels.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, clients, and emergency responders during routine operations and/or emergencies.
  • Support Allied Universal team members by relaying important information and updates in a timely manner.
