Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility - Full Time in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a government healthcare location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible, and offer exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements
- Applicants must comply with all hospital vaccine requirements.
- A valid security guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting in maintaining order within the facility.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or incidents.
- Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized persons within the premises.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as required.
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities and any incidents encountered during patrols.
- Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols to support a secure and welcoming environment for all individuals at the location.
