As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will make routine rounds, stay visibly present to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm professionalism. You will support staff, patients, and visitors through clear communication, service-focused interactions, and timely reporting. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter, checking doors, access points, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to the facility by observing entrances and common areas, assisting with visitor directions, and reporting suspicious behavior or policy violations per post orders.
  • Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate key information during shift turnovers to support consistent post coverage.
