As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor campus areas through routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, students, and visitors with friendly customer service. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and respond to issues with calm professionalism. Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting conditions to site contacts and Allied Universal management as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, hallways, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry points during arrival, dismissal, and special events, assisting with visitor management, directions, and documentation per site requirements.
• Complete accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications, escalating maintenance hazards and/or suspicious conditions through the proper channels.
