As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible throughout the campus. Your presence and proactive approach will contribute to a welcoming environment, as you provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the education environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential disturbances.
Observe and report any suspicious behavior or activity to maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying identification as needed.
Support emergency response efforts by communicating clearly with Allied Universal management and local authorities when required.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
