Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Walking Patrol in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer supporting an educational campus environment. You will complete routine foot and bike patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, manage access control and badge checks as needed, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will document observations, assist students, staff, and visitors, and partner with site teams to deliver service with integrity through teamwork in a caring culture. Requirements

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence hall exteriors, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying identification and/or authorization, directing visitors to appropriate destinations, and documenting unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, notifying appropriate campus resources and/or public services, and completing required incident reports.
• Support campus operations by observing for hazards, policy violations, and maintenance issues, then communicating findings to site leadership and/or appropriate departments for follow-up.
