As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support students, staff, and visitors through strong customer service and communication, report concerns, and assist with access and event activity as needed. Requirements

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of academic buildings, residence halls, common areas, and perimeter spaces, noting unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns and reporting findings per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access issues, disturbances, medical calls, and/or fire alarms, and escalating to campus partners and/or emergency services as directed.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor check-in and/or identification verification as required, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting orderly movement through the location.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in a timely manner, and communicate pertinent information during shift handoff to support continuity of operations.
