As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will conduct routine foot and bike patrols, support access control and badge checks, and help to identify and report security-related concerns across campus areas. You will remain highly visible, provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, administrative areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and/or suspicious activity, and coordinate with campus partners and/or public responders as directed.
• Support access control and visitor management at assigned posts, including monitoring entrances, checking identification when required, and directing individuals to appropriate offices and/or resources.
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to supervisors and site contacts for follow-up.
