As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas on foot and/or bike, help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, and support access control and badge checks. You will provide outstanding customer service, clear communication, and timely incident reporting while partnering with staff and students. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.30 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Requirements

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in an education setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with campus staff and/or public agency partners as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, reporting concerns and/or hazards through established communication channels.
• Complete required documentation such as activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site leadership.
