About The Position

As a Security Officer in Garland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet associates and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and document activity using site systems. You will remain visible to help support security-related policies, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with operations teams. This is a driving post. Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification, credentials, and delivery documentation, issuing temporary badges as directed, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs.
• Screen inbound and outbound traffic by coordinating with dock and yard personnel, monitoring gate activity, and reporting suspicious or unauthorized access attempts to help to deter incidents.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and supporting first responder actions as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, trailer yards, and perimeter, monitoring doors, docks, and restricted areas, and reporting hazards, damage, and irregular conditions.
