As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, check credentials, control visitor and vehicle access, and support a smooth flow of operations. You will complete routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, document activity, and communicate clearly with team members and site staff while delivering customer service rooted in integrity, teamwork, and a caring culture.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, drivers, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control entry and exit at gates, lobbies, and/or dock areas by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems; report irregular activity and help to deter unauthorized entry by maintaining a visible presence and taking appropriate action within post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching resources, contacting designated site personnel, and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify security-related concerns, check doors and/or gates, and complete written and/or electronic reports.
