About The Position

The Security Officer shall maintain a working knowledge and comply with all LMU handbooks. The Security Offer will be responsible for conducting the day-to-day activities to ensure a secure campus.

Requirements

High school diploma
valid drivers license
must pass a psychological evaluation according to state requirements
must successfully pass a background check
If the position applied for is as an armed officer, the applicant must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

Must be able to fire a weapon accurately if the position requires being armed
must be able to defend himself/herself and others with and without the use of deadly force
conduct regular security rounds of all property
maintain security of all keys and key access
research, report crime and incidents
may be responsible for submitting in the RMS system the tracking, and reporting of crimes and incident statistics
address policy violations when observed
report all maintenance and grounds issues through daily activity reporting
conduct traffic safety, issue traffic and parking citations
must have ability to react quickly
